Brunina Caputo

Nella valle della Tripona, non troppo distante dalla chiesa, vi e` una casa dove abita una donna meravigliosa. Il suo nome e` Brunina Caputo.

Fin da giovane Brunina e` stata sempre una donna senza pretese, e molto umile. Inoltre, e` stata sempre, come si suol dire, "Una grande lavoratrice".

Brunina non e` diplomata, e neppure laureata, ma e` una donna che si distingue quanto chiunque lo sia, e vi spiego perche`.

Tanti anni fa, sua madre ebbe una paralisi che la lascio` prima parzialmente, e poi completamente incapace di muoversi. Oggi sua madre rimane a letto giorno e notte, avente il bisogno di essere accudita in ogni modo immaginabile. Brunina, con l’ammirabile aiuto dei vicini parenti, si occupa della madre con tanto amore e tantissima pazienza.

Ma non fu tutto. Anni fa si ammalo` anche suo padre che ora riesce a malapena a muoversi e che ha bisogno di molta assistenza. Brunina si occupa anche di lui, con lo stesso amore e la stessa pazienza che ha avuto verso sua madre.

Brunina e` una delle piu` meravigliose persone che io abbia mai conosciuto. La sua dedicazione, la sua tenerezza, la sua pazienza, e il suo grande amore verso i suoi genitori la rende per me, ed altri che la conoscono, un essere angelico.

Brunina e` una donna molto religiosa, e` trae molta forza e coraggio dalla sua fede. Non dubito che il grande Dio moltiplichi le sue forze per aiutarla ad affrontare le sue grandi prove con un coraggio, e una forza fuori del normale.

E` giusto che anche altri conoscano Brunina, ed e` altrettanto giusto darle le lodi che tanto si merita, perche` Brunina e` un grande esempio di come dovremmo tutti essere ed una fonte d’ispirazione per tutti noi che la conosciamo.

In the Tripona Valley, near Capistrano’s church, there is a house where dwells a very special woman by the name of Brunina Caputo.

Since her youth, Brunina has been a very hard -working, humble and unpretentious woman. Brunina is not highly educated, yet she has shown great worth in other special ways. Let me explain how.

Many years ago her mother became paralyzed. For years Brunina has been attending to her every need with admirable patience and love.

But this is not all. Not long after her mother fell ill, Brunina’s father became partially paralyzed. Brunina looks after her father’s needs as well, with the same level of patience and love she has shown her mother.

Brunina is one of the most wonderful persons I have ever known. Her dedication, her tenderness, her patience and her great love toward her parents make her  an angelic being.

Brunina is a very religious person who gets much strength and courage from her faith. I have no doubt that the great God multiplies her strength to help her face her many difficulties.

It is appropriate that others get to know Brunina; and its is also appropriate to give her the praise she deserves, because Brunina  is a great example of how all of us should be and is a great source of inspiration to all who know her.
